BCEPC Meeting: Managing Risks with Succession Planning

Please join BCEPC for our upcoming seminar:
Managing Risks with Succession Planning
Business, Personal, Financial, and Legal Considerations
This insightful, advisor-led session explores how business succession planning mitigates risk and enhances continuity across four critical domains: business, personal, financial, and legal. Designed for small business owners and professionals, the presentation highlights the need for proactive, coordinated planning to preserve lifestyle, value, and legacy.
Presenters:
Dan Bowdey, MBA, CEPA®, CVB™, Focal Point Business Coaching & Training
Dan originally was an in-house consultant for continuous improvement at Eastman Kodak. He later acquired 50% of Boulder Steel, Inc. and a minor share in Leed Fabrication, Inc. He grew both companies from 7 to 8 figures before selling, one to a partner, the other to private equity.
Dan provides No Regrets Business Transition Planning® to successful, established business owners. He assesses personal, financial, and business readiness and the current value and advises on the pros and cons of exit options. Each plan has three parallel paths: value enhancement acceleration to influence the multiple that a buyer will pay, preparing for a transition to another owner well in advance, and developing a passion for their life’s endgame.
Dan coordinates the efforts of his client’s team of advisors to be congruent on matters of wealth management, finances, value appraisal, trusts & estates, charitable giving, buy-sell agreements, legal transactions, deal structure, and tax planning.
Robert J. Pyle, CFP®, CFA, AEP®, CEPA®, Diversified Asset Management, Inc.
Rob has run Diversified Asset Management, Inc. for 29 years, and he has helped over 170 clients prepare for and plan for a successful retirement.
Robert has earned the CFP® (Certified Financial Planner Designation) and the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst Designation), the AEP® (Accredited Estate Planner designation), and the CEPA® (Certified Exit Planner).
He does wealth management, but what he is known for more than anything is helping small business owners transition to retirement without ever sacrificing the lifestyle they’ve worked so hard to build.
Robert received an MBA in finance from the University of Colorado Boulder and an M.S. and B.S. degree in meteorology from Pennsylvania State University.
