Together, they’ll explore how estate planning professionals can play a pivotal role in helping clients make meaningful, lasting contributions through philanthropy.\n \nSuggested Topics:\n Trends in donor-advised funds and legacy giving The role of community foundations in supporting local impact Integrating charitable giving into estate and financial planning Stories of transformational gifts and community change How to start the charitable conversation with clients \nWhether you're an attorney, financial advisor, or nonprofit professional, this discussion will offer valuable insights into helping your clients align their values with their wealth.\n \n \n \nPresented By:\n \nTanner Edwards, Advisor Relations Officer at The Denver Foundation\n \nLeading The Denver Foundation's Professional Advisors Council, Tanner brings over 15 years of customer service and retail banking experience and experience managing donor affinity groups, fundraising, and professional development. He assists with anything related to the Professional Advisors Council, growing the professional advisor network, charitable giving products, and fun facts about the history of Denver.\n \nColorado-born and raised, Tanner moved to Denver in 2012 and resides in the Capitol Hill neighborhood with his partner Eric and their French Bulldog Olive.\n \n \n \n\n\n\n \nLarissa Anstey, Director of Engaged Philanthropy at the Community Foundation of Boulder County\n \nLarissa joined Community Foundation Boulder County in May of 2024. She has over twenty years of experience in the nonprofit and philanthropic arena. Her original focus was primarily on reproductive and maternal health in the United States and abroad including over three years living and working in sub-Saharan Africa. Over the span of her career, Larissa has partnered with both large international organizations as well as small, local, Colorado based nonprofits. She has worked extensively in fund development, research, strategic, and philanthropic advising. \n \nLarissa holds an MA in International Development with a certificate in Gender and Health from the Josef Korbel School of International Studies at DU. She also has a BA from Duke University. Larissa has lived in Boulder for 25 years and has raised her family here.\n \n \n \nEric Hozempa, CAP®, CEO of the Longmont Community Foundation\n \nEric has more than 30 years of nonprofit experience primarily in the area of fundraising and board development. Prior to his work as CEO of the Longmont Community Foundation, Eric proudly worked at consulting firm, RMA, with activist and civil rights champion, Richard Male.\n \nIn addition to his work commitment, Eric currently serves as faculty for the Council on Foundation’s Essentials coursework, President of the Kansas Association of Community Foundations (KACF) and is Past President for the Advancement Network (AdNet).\n \nEric grew up in Boulder County and graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder with a B.A. in philosophy. Eric enjoys hiking, fly fishing, roasting his own coffee, riding his scooter, and gardening.\n \n \n ------\n\n \n \nCheck-in and networking will start at 11:15 a.m., with the buffet open for lunch by 11:30. The business meeting will commence at 11:45, just before the 12:00 start time for the speakers.\n \nThis seminar is open to guests, so please invite a colleague or client to join you.  You can add your guest when you register.\n
